Switchpoint is a not for profit company with a focus on educating; training and implementing “best practices “in the societal efforts to end homelessness as we know it. All platform participants will utilize the proprietary and permission based blockchain, (www.OmegaPoint.io). Potential customers include both public and private sector entities along with NFP entities. Our software will include an assessment for individuals measuring the social determinants of health, thereby coordinating resources. The dual opt-in database allows interstate data to be available, which is currently not available.

Switchpoint is led by Carol Hollowell a nationally recognized expert and visionary in the homeless space. Switchpoint will facilitate the change to the new world of collaboration between system participants and by returning the dignity of the underprivileged. The immutable Switchpoint blockchain will increase the transparency of all participants and increase the liquidity and resources available to the people in need. Participants will have access to “sustainable “practices that are also scalable in individual markets.
Switchpoint is the idea of a single impact, a single individual whose story is a prompt for change. Ray was Carol’s Switchpoint. She saw him in a wheelchair, on the side of the road. In a rear-view mirror moment, she turned around and went back to help. Ray was homeless and had been for over five years. After asking questions and finding out his story, she was able to get him ID, move him into permanent housing and connect him to resources in one day. This led to a decade of finetuning a model to serve the homeless populations and fill gaps in communities to enhance the opportunities for the underserved.
We are in communion with one another. We are one. My purpose is to facilitate others success in hopes of making the world more equitable and grateful to one another. Our permission based blockchains create more transparency which creates more liquidity to fund these social needs.

Carol Hollowell
CEO & Co-Founder
Carol Hollowell was inspired to embark on a career serving those experiencing homelessness after finding Ray, wheelchair bound, on the streets in 2013. Ray had been homeless for five years simply because he had lost his wallet. After helping Ray get his ID, and stable housing, she knew she had found her purpose. Switchpoint was born!
Switchpoint’s model combines Carol’s years of business experience with her innovative problem-solving skills. As a serial entrepreneur, Carol developed Switchpoint to lift and empower individuals in their resolve to become self-sufficient.
In 2020, Carol received the Ernst Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Social Impact for creating a new standard and best practices in homeless services. Knowing that temporary shelter was not enough she continues to adapt to meet the changing needs of the most vulnerable. Switchpoint addresses the layers that keep people stuck offering a wide array of services to set them on a new path.
Carol knew that we can’t solve homelessness without having somewhere to move people out of shelter and began to tackle the extreme lack of affordable housing. Carol’s vision is to create 1,000 units of deeply affordable housing in Utah this year!
